Miranda Kaiser is President of USAHello. Miranda graduated from the Yale Law School and is admitted to the New York and Montana bars. Miranda has held several legal positions, including having worked as deputy counsel for the Independent Inquiry Committee into the United Nations Oil-For-Food Program. She is President of the board of trustees of the Rockefeller Family Fund and has served on the following boards of directors: the Center for Investigative Reporting (1996-2002); the Women’s Commission for Refugee Women and Children (2005-2010); the Rockefeller Family Fund (2001-2013); the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (2006-2014); and the American Farmland Trust (2000-2010; Board Chair 2010-2014).

Jessica Marks is the founder of USAHello (formerly the Refugee Center Online). Jessica is passionate about building systems that support refugee self-efficacy. Jessica believes technology can play a vital role in the longer term integration of newcomers into our communities. Jessica has extensive experience working with refugees around the world, including serving as the programs manager for the African Immigrant and Refugee Foundation (AIRF) in the nation’s capital, teaching social studies and serving as a school counselor to refugees on the Thai-Burma border, and working with refugees from Tibet and Bhutan. Jessica’s expertise lies in refugee religious practices, religious intolerance in the USA, and rural refugee resettlement. Jessica has a Masters in Public Administration.

Pap is a writer and journalist of Senegalese origin naturalized Italian. Pap has always been concerned with raising awareness on the issue of immigration through his writing and his numerous collaborations with public and private bodies in Italy and around the world.

Michele is a member of the Order of Lawyers of Florence. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M., cum laude) in American law and international law practice at Loyola Law School (Los Angeles, USA). For over 12 years Michele has been providing a range of professional legal services to corporate, private and family clients. He coordinates a complex and wide range of legal activities (such as JV, NDA, loi and other commercial agreements, licences, management and transfer of intellectual property) and facilitates cross-border business transactions.

Mark Adiedo is the Vice President for People and Culture and Chief Diversity Officer at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. He has over 10 years of executive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in strategic human resource management and organizational development. He has worked with and consulted for nonprofit organizations focused on issues related to homelessness, sustainable development, displaced populations, and global humanitarian assistance. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a master’s degree in Industrial Sociology from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at The New School.

Michela is a Programme Manager at EPIM – the European Philanthropic Initiative for Migration – where she coordinates the thematic cluster on Migration Governance. In 2024, she led a systemic mapping process aimed at identifying the key forces and dynamics shaping the migration system in Europe. She is currently working on developing the cluster’s strategy and corresponding grant-making framework, based on the evidence that emerged from the mapping process. After spending time living and working in Senegal and Ghana, Michela is now based in Brussels. She has gained experience in both the civil society and private sectors, focusing on migration, minority rights, climate change, and research. Michela holds a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Cooperation and Development.

Gianmaria is a Professor of Comparative Law, Law & Technology, and Law & Art at the University of Turin, where he also served as Rector. He has taught European Union Law at UC Berkeley (USA) and has acted as a consultant for international organizations such as the IMF, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, UNDP, GIZ, and the ILO. His research focuses on art law and emerging technologies. Throughout his career, he has worked as a legal reform expert in China, Russia, Albania, Kosovo, Ukraine, and Vietnam. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Université de Savoie.

Afaf is a special education teacher in schools in Turin and a lecturer in Intercultural Pedagogy at the University of Turin. Her academic and teaching work focuses on promoting anti-racist and decolonial approaches to education. She is a Fellow of Teach For Italy, a program dedicated to addressing educational inequality in the country. Alongside her commitment to education, Afaf is actively involved in public life and is currently serving her fourth term as a municipal councillor in the town of Castelbaldo, in the Veneto region. She holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Padua and brings a deep passion for education and critical thinking to her work.
